Support for Snowflake is Finally Here!

With that, SqlDBM is very proud to present a fantastic enhancement to the tool – Snowflake Support! With this feature you can improve your productivity as you develop and model your Snowflake DW. And of course, you can take advantage of and adapt SqlDBM features into your Snowflake projects such as Subject Areas, Relationships, Diagrams, View Modes, Revision history , Team Collaboration etc. For details check this article.

Support for access to Transient, Data Retention , File Format , Copy Options and other table options

  • User has the ability to create common “File Format” and apply to multiple tables
  • Also “File Format” has an option to generate “SQL independently as File format” or “be part of table definition”

Generate Snowflake DDLs / Forward Engineer support

User can design Snowflake DW and easily materialize their beautiful designs into valuable SQL script.

Feature to Clone or Duplicate a Table:

Long awaited feature of ability to clone an existing table is finally here.

Now to create clone of an existing table, users can open context menu of table and click “Clone Table”.

Enhanced “Create New Project” experience

Now, SqlDBM provides option to “Open Sample Project” or “Create new empty Project” when user tries to create new project

Add New Diagram with Pre-Selected Tables

In SqlDBM, now users can easily add new diagram with pre-selected tables. It can be done by first selecting the table which users wants to see in new diagram and then hold crtl key as shown below:

New Feature to “Disable zoom on scroll”

We have received feedback to have an option to disable zoom feature with mouse scroll (mainly this was an issue while working on Laptops). To use this feature just go to the Diagram and in the right panel of Diagram Properties, there is an option to disable zoom feature with mouse scroll.

Enhancement in On-boarding for Forward and Reverse Engineering

We have enhanced users experience by providing better videos and steps for both Forward and Reverse Engineering. To view that, just go to  Forward and Reverse Engineering tab, and click on “learning Hat” icon on bottom right of the tool page.
